Friday night against Piedmont, Hendrickson nearly turned the trick again in the exact same manner as the Hornets eliminated Piedmont College with a 6-1 victory.
Hendrickson (6-1) threw a complete game six-hitter, allowing just an unearned run in the eighth while walking one and striking out one.
Shenandoah (37-5) will face Salisbury at noon CDT tomorrow in the regional championship. Salisbury, which fell to SU the 2010 regional championship game, will have to beat the Hornets twice to claim the title.
Shenandoah and Salisbury have met one time previously this season with the Hornets winning 8-7 on March 15 in Winchester.
SU scored one run in the first and three in the second to provide Hendrickson with all of the support he would need.
Senior All-America Kevin Brashears, who scored the Hornets initial run in the first, drove in the eventual winning run in the second with a sacrifice fly to right.
Following a PC (32-16) error that allowed Kurt Krout to score, senior All-America Greg Van Sickler drove in Joey Donofrio with a double into the gap in right center.
The two teams then traded runs in the eighth, with Clint DeHaven driving in the victors run.
Shenandoah banged out 10 hits in the victory, including three from Nick Beall and two by Cory Nelson.
Garrett Lovelace and Ethan Miers both had two hits for Piedmont.
